Affiliate Genie is a PhP script based system that builds specifically affiliate type sites in the same way that Wordpress is the “Blog” platform. Many people use Wordpress to build affiliate blogs, but to do so means you have to be able to taylor the many options, plugins, and possibly tweak PhP code on your own to get the site to work the way you want. What Chris Remple and Matthew Chitty did was create a PhP based Content Management System that uses completely PhP-file based data management system so that these sites are complete free of using a separate database. It is essentially an “Affiliate Framework” in software engineering parlance. This means the setting up affiliate sites becomes quite easy and fast. You upload the folder of php scripts in the same manner as you would a Wordpress blog to your internet provider (over ftp or through cPanel control, or however content is uploaded to your provider). You then go through a setup process to configure. Then you develop your content and graphics, load up your affiliate links, and you are essentially done. You can add other scripts for pop-ups, pop-unders, corner peels, etc. The big difference in how this script works is that there is no database usage as there is with blogs.
Now, I have checked out some of these sites and they are good. You still have to know some PhP (pf know somebody that does) if you want to add some things like lightbox pop-ups, and some of the other scripts that make a site really pop, but it is not too bad. The only thing that I don’t like about this product is the name. Frankly “Affiliate Genie” is a stupid name.
That being said, this is a really great product, and for someone setting up many affiliate sites, it really shines. The authors of the product use it and make good money with it – as they employ good copy and methods such as “the conduit method” along with good SEO to get traffic to the sites. This is definitely the way to go for those who desire a quick set-up of multiple sites and have a php or Wordpress background just because of the time you will save.

Frankly, Affiliate Genie is worth the $97.00 if you are not willing or able to force fit Wordpress into your affiliate site scheme. It is not as flexible as Wordpress, but then it is deisgned to don only one thing well – generate tons of affiliate cash, and it still is pretty flexible for what it does.
I recommend Affiliate Genie, and I consider it one of the top products in this category.
