Geek Blob to Greek god - it is possible!

My name’s Dr. Nick Hallale and I’m a scientist with a PhD in chemical engineering. I spent several years teaching at the University of Manchester in England as well as lecturing and consulting internationally.

I recently put all my scientific knowledge to good use when I unlocked the secrets of the classical Greek body to create The Apollo Program. Back then, I weighed 100 kilograms and had a size-40 waist and a big bloated gut. I was embarrassed to take my clothes off in front of other people. I had awful hair and a puffy, swollen face, and felt tired and drained all the time. I was so stiff that even touching my toes was difficult and my lower back would seize up in agony when I got out of bed or stood up.

I created The Apollo Program for myself because I was tired of being like that and wanted a change. A drastic one. Despite my age, I wanted the body I had when I was 18 again.

Everyone said it couldn’t be done. Everyone was wrong. If you want to know how you can achieve the same kind of transformation without surgery, without drugs, and without spending hours in the gym every day then you’ve come to the right place.

Now, they say necessity is the mother of invention, and boy was it true in my case. I needed a transformation program that was powerful and efficient and which would give me back my 18-year-old body. It had to be powerful and efficient because I was working full time and had a wife and child too. I didn’t have the time or the energy to spend hours in a gym every day the way I used to.

It needed to work fast too. I’d heard all the garbage about how I didn’t get into such bad shape overnight and so I shouldn’t expect to get into great shape overnight either, but I didn’t buy it. I wasn’t expecting overnight miracles, but I couldn’t afford to spend years either. To save myself, I needed something that would work in weeks.

And so I decided to go back to the source. I spent hours in museums and libraries, researching the ancient Greeks and their athletics. I studied their classical statues to see what the perfect body looked like, and explored ancient training manuals to unlock the secrets of how they got that way. I added all my years of training experience, all my scientific and engineering knowledge to the mix too. And I read everything I could find on the latest advances in sports and nutrition science. I took the lead from the famous scientists of yesteryear and experimented constantly on myself. All the junk that didn’t work was ruthlessly pared away and discarded, and I kept only what was useful. All of this was distilled to create The Apollo Program. I’m quite happy with the results.

So how does it work?

Hallale, 35, was driven to action after being more than 40 pounds overweight, unhealthy and suffering from depression. Work and family commitments made it hard to stay fit, but he also recognizes peer pressure as a bad influence: “Many people my age don’t have much respect for exercise,” he says. “They think there’s something strange or immature about a parent who continues to keep in great shape, and they even take a perverse, ‘noble’ pride in being out of shape.”

Desperate to transform his life dramatically, Hallale turned to the ancient Greeks for help. “I wasn’t interested in looking like a huge bodybuilder,” he explains. “I’d always admired the proportioned, athletic look of Greek heroes, especially Apollo. I longed to change from weak blob to Greek god, not in years, but in weeks, and so I created my own ‘Apollo Program’ to achieve this.”

His first step was spending countless hours of research in museums and libraries. Studying classical statues showed him exactly what the Grecian ideal body looked like, and he then explored ancient sports manuals and artworks to learn just how their athletes got like that.

The next step was a revival of their training methods, using himself as a guinea pig. With a PhD in chemical engineering, and having taught for several years at the University of Manchester, Hallale brought a scientific approach to the task. “I was pretty ruthless,” he grins. “Anything that didn’t work was discarded, and I kept only what was useful.” He was impressed enough to retain several long-forgotten secrets, including the “tetrad,” an ingenious way of dividing intensive training over a four-day cycle so that the body has time to recover fully and stays in balance.

He also reconstructed some classical exercises, including the ancient Greek long jump, which he learned from paintings found on ancient vases. In the original long jump, athletes did not take a run up as they do in the modern event. Instead, they would propel themselves by swinging the arms while holding stone weights or “halteres.” Hallale substituted modern dumbbells and reports that this gave him excellent results: “After just a few jumps, I’d be sweating like I’d run a marathon. People stared as though I was crazy, but I didn’t care.” Studying the diet of Greek athletes revealed some interesting clues too.

“The Apollo Program” soon paid off as Hallale dropped from a 40-inch waist to a size-32. His program also built up other parts of his body, so that his proportions matched those of the statues he admired so much. He believes his system is an holistic approach to health, with benefits that transcend the physical. “In ancient Greek gymnasiums, the mind, body and spirit weren’t viewed separately, but were seen as parts of a whole,” he says, crediting his methods with giving him focus, discipline, calmness and self-confidence.

His transformation quickly began to attract attention, and so he set up his Apollo Program website, where he offers consultation and coaching to people around the world. “When I created my ‘Apollo Program,’ I did it to save myself from what I was going through,” he remembers. “But then friends and family started asking me for advice. Word of mouth spread, and it quickly built up from there. I’m thrilled that, thanks to the internet, I’m helping people – men and women – no matter where they live.”
